Simon Goddard

Simon Goddard was born in Cardiff in 1971. He grew up in Wales and Scotland and went to art school in the North of England before becoming a music journalist in London.

He is the author of six books including Songs That Saved Your Life (hailed by the Guardian as “the best Smiths book”), Mozipedia (a Mojo Readers’ Book Of The Year), Ziggyology, Simply Thrilled and the mock-picaresque biographical novel Rollaresque (“an excellent history of the early years of the Rolling Stones” – the Times).

His latest is The Comeback, the story of Elvis Presley and the ’68 Special, published September 2018 by Omnibus.
