Steve Diggle

Steve Diggle was born in Manchester in 1955. Starting out as Buzzcocks’ bass player on their 1977 debut EP Spiral Scratch, he soon moved over to guitar and co-vocalist. Since 2019 he has been their sole frontman and songwriter, releasing the band’s tenth album Sonics In The Soul in 2022. The following year he accepted the group’s induction into the Camden Music Walk Of Fame. He lives in London.
