Douglas Lindsay

Douglas Lindsay was born in Scotland in 1964 at 2:38am. Thirty-five years of little note ensued.

His first book, The Long Midnight of Barney Thomson, was published in February 1999, immediately catapulting Douglas into the pantheon of little-known crime writers.

Over the past twenty years he has written twenty-three books, principally crime novels in the non-traditional style, including the Barney Thomson, DS Hutton, DCI Jericho and Pereira & Bain series. The first three books in the DI Westphall series, opening with Song of the Dead, are published by Mulholland Books.

Douglas lives in Somerset with his family.
