Ian Preece

Ian Preece was a commissioning editor in sport/music/non-fiction for Victor Gollancz and Orion for nearly two decades. These days, he works as a freelance book editor, writes for Caught by the River, has written for When Saturday Comes, and still buys too many records. DJ opportunities aren’t what they were, but you can catch ‘Third Light Home’ on Seeks Music. He is the author of Listening to the Wind: Encounters with 21st Century Independent Record Labels (Omnibus); The Heyday of the Football Annual (with Doug Cheeseman; Constable/Little Brown); Stats, Records and Rock ‘n’ Roll (with Daniel Tatarsky; Carlton); and ghost-wrote James Kingston’s Never Look Down (Blink).
