Simon Spence has written widely on popular culture for the NME, The Face, i-D, Dazed & Confused, The Independent, The Japan Times, International Herald Tribune, Q, The Sun and the Mail On Sunday. He successfully collaborated with Andrew Loog Oldham on Stoned and 2Stoned (Vintage, 2001 and 2003), and had his volume on the legendary record label Immediate (Black Dog, 2008) published to further acclaim. Just Can’t Get Enough – his account of the rise of Depeche Mode – was published in October 2011 by Jawbone Press/Random House. His latest book is The Stone Roses: War and Peace (Penguin/St Martin’s Press). He lives in Manchester.
